The Centre for Professional Development (CPD) is a unit in Zimbabwe Open University established to empower people through short duration training courses. It offers human capital development through courses tailor-made to address knowledge and competency gaps in individuals, organizations and communities. It unlocks talent in all individuals and enables them to fulfil their role in the development of society.

The courses cater for all groups of people in industry, religion, education agriculture and many more.  CPD courses are responsive to personal as well as socio-economic, politico-cultural and technological changes in the environment.
