Examples of Training Programmes Offered

CPD promotes farmer capacity-building through training in Tobacco Farming. The training is offered to registered tobacco farmers. The farmers undergo a 2 day intensive training per module for 5 modules which cover the tobacco cycle from seedbed to the sales floor and preparation for the next season.

The Centre earmarks to roll out the programme to other tobacco farming districts. For one to enrol into the programme they should have a plot and be practising farmers.
