Zimbabwe Open University joined other institutions of higher learning to exhibit at the Zimbabwe International Book Fair which was held from August 2 to 5, 2017 in the capital’s Harare Gardens.
The event which was attended by other institutions of higher learning such as Africa University, Midlands State University, University of Zimbabwe to name but a few also saw the participation of both national and international community of publishers and writers.
There were different exhibitors including art, theatre and books writers.
The centre of attraction were books which were displayed from one page to bible size novels, all giving information on different cultures, beliefs, religions and norms and values.
Myths, fiction and love stories were part of the books that people took turns to peruse during the entire period of the event.
Most of the people who came on this day said ZOU was good in terms of offering tutorials for pre-occupied students and also good in terms of qualifications (the general entry requirements). Also some people proposed that ZOU should introduce degrees programmes in Hotel and Tourism, Law and Engineering.
Some people who came on this day showed interest with the ZOU distannce learning facility and also the general requirements for one to study for a Bachelors Degree.
