ZOU National SRC honoured in Ghana

The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) National Student Representative Council (SRC) was recently honoured at a students conference which was held in Accra, Ghana.

The ZOU National SRC was represented by its President, Sandra Chikeya, Vice President, Stranger Chivasa, Secretary General, Shupai Kamunyaru and the Treasurer, Moreblessing Muvungani.

The conference, whose main objective was to increase and maintain peace and order at University campuses in Africa, was attended by students from three Universities in Ghana, Benin and  Nigeria. ZOU was the only University from the Southern Region.

Students presented papers on topics to do with promoting and maintaining peace at University campuses.  The topic required students to give scenarios at their campuses, hence ZOU was voted to be one of the best in terms of promoting and maintaining peace at their campuses.
