The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) offered me great opportunity to pursue my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree despite the limited time I had as a medical doctor in full practice.

Having completed my medical degree at UZ 12 years ago, at first I saw no need to diversify my school into non-medical things until my colleague explained to me the importance of pursuing Management studies as an entrepreneur.

ZOU was the solution! The flexibility of the curriculum enables everyone who is eligible for any programme to enjoy it and make themselves success stories. The institution has friendly tuition fee payment plans that make it the University of Choice even to the low income earners.

We got unwavering support from our Harare Regional Campus as all the required study material was availed to us timeously.

Considering that I had to attend to patients as well at my clinic, life was made easier for me by the dedicated lecturers who, by their spirit of individualised consideration, went extra miles to make sure everyone understood what was taught. It is indisputable that ZOU originated modules are on accelerated demand in the whole of Southern Africa and this has put ZOU on the world map.

We worked as a team in class. The weekend classes made sure that a lot of students were covered and that was positive for those who came from far places. No one would be left behind. The good news is that people from all walks of life were in my class, be they Pharmacists, Doctors, Administrators, Teachers to mention but a few. This allowed for extra-curricular interactions and social networking.

The MBA I got is a blessing in my life. Before enrolling for MBA,I had numerous workplace challenges with high staff turnover with a small and stagnant clinic. Having learnt about Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing, I came to realise my previous blunders. Now within two years of my completion, I have opened two more clinics and my staff complement has increased by 250 percent within 24 months.

With ZOU, one is destined to go far. You can have your school dreams satisfied for just less. Because of high quality education from ZOU, I will not stop to study with ZOU and I have since enrolled for Master of Educational Management which I hope to complete soon. ZOU is the way!
