The Zimbabwe Open University (ZOU) offered me great opportunity to pursue my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree despite the limited time I had as a medical doctor in full practice.

Having completed my medical degree at UZ 12 years ago, at first I saw no need to diversify my school into non-medical things until my colleague explained to me the importance of pursuing Management studies as an entrepreneur.


The Zimbabwe Open University through their National Students Representative Council (SRC) took pat at the launch of the inaugural Pan African Students Forum (PASF) summit which was held at University of KwaZulu Natal’s Howard College campus recently.

ZOU set a five member delegation comprising of the Director of Centre for Student Management, Professor David Chakuchichi,  National SRC President Sandra Chikeya, Vice President Stranger Chivasa, Secretary General Shupai Kamunyaru and the Treasurer  Moreblessing Muvungani.


Zimbabwe Open University students impressed at the just ended Impact Africa Debate and Public speaking tournament that was held in Botswana recently. The  event was held in Gaborone at Indaba Lodge from 18 to 22 December 2017.

ZOU was represented by Harare Regional Campus President, Tariro Mukunga and Bulawayo Regional Campus duo of Locadia Maseko and Wadzanai Makoni.
