Professor Mugabe appointed new ZOU Acting Vice Chancellor

The Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development, Professor dr Amon Murwira met the ZOU Council and Senate on Monday 26 November 2018. This was the Minister’s inaugural visit to the University. He encouraged everyone to place both hands on their own peddle and peddle to take this beautiful University to higher ground. “In a canoe there is no passenger”, he said.

His visit ushered in Professor Francis T. Mugabe as the University’s Acting Vice Chancellor, replacing Professor Alfred C. Ncube who reverts to his position as the Pro Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs. Professor Mugabe is substantively the Pro Vice Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Enterprise Development. The Minister also announced the end of Professor Daniel Ndudzo’s contract after serving as the University Registrar for the past 10 years. The Registrar’s last day at work will be Friday 30 November 2018. The University would like to thank the Registrar, for for his contribution and also wish him well in his new endeavours.
