BACHELOR OF SCIENCE HONOURS IN CROP SCIENCE
On successful completion of the programme the holders of this qualification should be able to:
- Understand and apply key scientific principles and theories of crop science
- Apply knowledge and practical skills ion sustainable crop production
- Develop solutions to problems in crop science and production
- Design and manage efficient and sustainable crop production systems and practices
- Create and innovate new knowledge, technology and practices in crop production
To be admitted to the programme a prospective student must have:
- Advanced Level passes in Biology or Agriculture plus any other Science subject
- Articulation as provided by the ZNQF
- Recognition criteria for foreign credentials of international students
Special Entry/APL
A prospective student may be admitted on special entry or through Accreditation of Prior Learning route in accordance with the University’s General Academic Regulations.
The student is expected to accumulate a minimum of 396 and a maximum of 540 credit points to be considered to have met the requirements of the Bachelor of Science Honours in Crop Science
Part I = minimum of 120 credits
Part II = minimum of 120 credits
Part III = minimum of 120 credits
Part IV = minimum of 120 credits
Total 480 credits
