Overview
The ZOU Quality Assurance Unit ensures compliance with academic and operational standards in Open and Distance e-Learning (ODeL). Our systems align with national and international standards, fostering continuous improvement and innovation in higher education.
Roles and Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Directorate
- Develop and monitor the implementation of quality assurance systems and processes.
- Ensures compliance of ZOU academic and administrative processes with ISO 9001:2015, ZIMCHE standards, and ACDE Quality Assurance Toolkit.
- Coordinates the development and review of academic and administrative policies and procedures
- Oversee institutional and programme accreditation processes.
- Provide guidance and training on quality assurance practices.
- Provide Secretariat services to key university quality assurance committees including the Quality Assurance Committee of the Senate, Quality Assurance Committee of Council, Quality Documents Review Committee
Roles and Responsibilities of the Regional Quality Assurance Co-ordinators
- Implement quality assurance policies and procedures at the Regional Campus level.
- Conduct quality audits and assessments for academic and administrative functions.
- Provide regional reports on quality-related matters to the National Centre.
